I love my job, I feel fulfilled by helping people feel good about themselves and seeing them develop and reach their goals. Fitness was not always my passion. I found need for understanding the human body after I finished college. My hobby became my career. I qualified with FutureFit with an Advanced Personal Trainer Diploma and began my journey.
Since then I have continued developing my understanding of how the human body functions and increased my ability to manipulate it through diet and exercise. I can help you with a wide variety of goals.
The most popular requests are weight loss and fitness improvement. We do get referrals from physios for clients with injuries requiring rehabilitation. One areas I specialise in is Pre and Post Natal Training. I have 7years experience working with pregnant women and we have two children, Sept 08 and May '10. I feel a responsibility to share the knowledge I have with pregnant women to ensure a safe pregnancy for both Mum and Baby.
In 2005 Mark and I ran the New York Marathon and I dragged myself over the finish line after struggling with a number of injuries. Due to the long recovery I needed I replaced my running with Yoga. Since then I have become passionate about yoga. I love the benefits of Yoga, both physical and mental. I really feel yoga helped me through my pregnancys and births. I have since began running again and ran through both pregnancys but half Marathons are now my limit. I impressed myself coming 15th out of 3500 in a Race for life whilst 37weeks pregnant. And completed 3 half marathons during my last pregnancy at 1,6 and 7 months pregnant all under 2hrs10.
Mark Marrison
I have been working in the Fitness industry for most of my adult life. I spent a number of years as a Fitness Manager of a well known Gym chain but decided I wanted to get back to what really matters to me - working with people to see a difference.
I have a passion for football and have completed the New York Marathon twice. I enjoy a challenge and like working with people who like to push to their limits regardless of where their limits are. Its inspiring to meet people who will commit.
I am a qualified Pilates Instructor and teach the classes at the Mazft Studio. I enjoy going to yoga classes and feel they help me enormously in football and running to maintain a balance within my muscles and mind. I began yoga due to long term back pain and even now notice it if I stop participating in classes.
With a combined experience within the Fitness industry of 17 years. A vast experience of Personal Training a wide spectrum of people with a huge variety of goals.
