Amanda Simpson - Pregnancy

I started training with Maz shortly after I became pregnant. Maz was recommended to me by a friend who had also trained with her throughout her pregnancy. I had not seen a personal trainer before but fitness through my pregnancy was a priority for me and I was unsure what was and was not safe. So, I thought the best thing to do was to get a personal trainer who specialised in this area. I am very glad I did.

Being pregnant you have to have trust in the person training you; it is not just your body ‘at risk’, and from the first meeting I found Maz to be competent, professional, friendly, understanding and knowledgeable.

Before I had even signed up to any sessions I found myself talked through all the changes a body goes through during pregnancy and given a pack of pregnancy and fitness information.

My fitness is important to me not only from a physical but also from a mental perspective; it is part of who I am. I felt therefore that training with Maz through my pregnancy helped me retain my identity whilst my body shape changed dramatically.

I like to push during my sessions and to actively feel the benefit of my training. Training with Maz whilst pregnant allowed me to do this in a safe environment.

I loved coming back from the gym feeling knackered and waddling along with a huge bump! It gave me a feeling a pride and I felt I was doing the best thing for my baby.

Having had my baby I am now seeing Maz to get rid of the pregnancy pounds still hanging around and I am sure Maz will support me all the way.
